Chapter 3

Lufue Zue frowned when he entered what he used to know as the Viceroy's palace. "Boy, this place has done down really quickly," he thought to himself. "I wonder where Michael Angelo has gone to. Well, only one way to find out," Lufue commented as he walked up the path. He got to the door and found a few guards standing there.

"Halt! Who be ye," the guards asked. "I am Lufue Zue from New Fullerium. I request an audience with the leader," he told them. The guards nodded and looked him over. "You are safe to pass," the guards told him. He proceeded through the door and into the hall. The whole building looked as if an evil dark shadow had been passed over the place. He felt a sudden chill through his veins.

A man came out of a door and sat down. "Good day, Lufue. I am Jonathan Pickett II, leader of the Secfenia Central Guard. What can I do for you," the man asked. Lufue smiled. "The central guard. It's good to see such quick response. I need to journey back to my home land, but I lack any supplies. I tried to find my old ones and they were missing. I was wondering if you could assist me in getting back to New Fullerium to rally up troops against the rest of the Imperial scum," Lufue commented.

Jonathan smiled and was about to speak when a female entered the room. "I'm sorry, Jonathan. I am always getting lost in here," Angela told them. Lufue stood and bowed to Angela. "Good day, my lady," Lufue said. Angela looked at him wierd and replied, "Good day, sir. Do I know you?" Lufue smiled. "Not very well, I'm afraid. I've seen you mainly in passing," Lufue informed her. Angela nodded. "Well, It's good to see you again then," Angela said with a smile as she walked through another door trying to find the path to where she was going.

"Sorry about that," Jonathan apologized. "She's still trying to get used to the place. You know if it hadn't been for your little explosion she would not have been released," Jonathan informed Lufue. Lufue tilted his head and replied, "I didn't realize that she was being held. I guess it was good fortune then." Jonathan smiled and nodded.

Jonathan opened a box and took out a compass with some additional supplies next to it. "You may need some of this stuff for the rest of the journey. The Secfenia Central Guard is very pleased for your continued service, Lufue. We are in your debt," Jonathan informed Lufue. Lufue grinned and said, "It was nothing. Just doing my job to keep up the hope of Secfenia."

"You are indeed a gem in this world. May your days be filled with peace, joy, and love all the days of your life," Jonathan wished upon him. Lufue stood and shook Jonathan's hand. He then proceeded to take the supplies and exit out the door.

Jonathan stepped out another door and caught up with Angela. "Angela, what did you think of him," Jonathan asked her. "He seems... quite different. He seems out of this known world," Angela commented. "He does indeed. I wonder what has gotten into him," Jonathan asked to no one in particular. "Just remember, Jon, that sometimes good things come out of hurt," Angela said with a wink and left the room. "Damn it. I hate when she does that," Jonathan commented.

Outside the palace, Lufue began his journey slowly through the areas and crossing the border of New Fullerium. He looked around to see military men all over the place. "They really must have missed me," Lufue commented. One of the men grabbed onto Lufue and said, "Sir, come with me. We need to get you out of here. This isn't a safe area for you."

Lufue shrugged and followed the man's not so gentle prodding. They took him into one particular house and scanned him. "Sir, we've had all kinds of problems here from the Imperials. We need you to go back to the capital and rally support for this area," the guards told him. "Anything for New Fullerium. I need a few of you to protect me through the land so I can arrive at the palace safely," Lufue commented. The guards nodded and stood by his side.
