Chapter 4

As Lufue entered the secret palace side door, he nodded to relieve the guards. Going through the different pathways was simple for him. He helped build this palace. He turned around one path and ran into a man. "Who the hell could this be," he thought. He turned and looked straight into the eyes of the man. The only problem was that man... was himself.

"How did you get in here," both men said at the same time. "How did you know this was here," they said in unison. They looked at each other. "What's the secret password," one Lufue said to the other. "Pepper," the other replied. "How is this possible," the first asked. "I have no idea," the second responded.

They looked at each other and began asking series of questions trying to test out their theory. They found it very frustrating that they knew the answers. They both knew this palace and the secrets in it. Something only they could have known.

"Well, somehow we have come together. I have no idea for what purpose or how. I was going to destroy part of the Imperials and somehow I guess you were left to stay in my place," the first Lufue said. The second Lufue nodded.

"Maybe we should go back to West Maue and talk to mom and dad about this," the first Lufue said. The second Lufue looked away and tears came to his eyes. "What? What's wrong? Did something happen to them," he asked. The second Lufue looked into the first's eyes. "You don't honestly know do you," he asked. The first Lufue tilted his head and shook it.

"They died at West Maue when the Imperials attacked," the second Lufue informed him. The first Lufue's face froze with shock. "Then I guess you don't know about our wife," the second Lufue inquired. The first Lufue looked at him strangely. "I never had a wife," he commented.

A lightbulb went off over both of their heads. "We aren't from the same place and yet we are," they said in unison. "You are very lucky. At least you never lost the girl that you loved," the second Lufue commented. "It is better to have been loved than never to have been loved," the first Lufue responded.

The two Lufues looked at each other. "You know, we really need to sit down and chat about the differences of our lives. Maybe we can learn a little from each other," the first Lufue suggested. "You know, that's a very good idea," the second Lufue commented. They went up the stairs and into a room guarded with guards.

The guards looked at both of them in bewilderment. Before their own eyes, there were two Lufue Zue's. They didn't know which one was real and which one was fake, but if they dared to argue. They decided not to say a thing and watch the two.

One guard stepped out of the room and went down the hall to a secretary. "You have got to see this," he told the secretary. She stood up and slowly followed him and crept up to the room where they were. She peeked in and say the two. "Holy smokes! Mirror, Mirror, you've brought us two Lufue Zues... what's next," she asked trying to listen in to what they were saying.
