Reunion (Part II)

Chapter 3

Wearing a cloak, Fue walked into the town of Fenia. It had been a while since he had, but he knew that some people may remember his crime there. He was already a wanted man for many other "crimes". He stepped inside the pub. He sat down at a bar stool. "Do you know where one could find Alexander Jessica Jackson," Fue asked the barkeeper. "Maybe, but who wants to know," the barkeeper asked. "I am asking as a favor for Secfenia," Fue commented.

The barkeeper looked at the cloaked man and wondered a few things. The barkeeper leaned in close and whispered, "Fue, you know if they find you in here they'll tear you apart. This isn't a safe place for you. The info you want is easy to give. Take it and leave as quickly as possible. The person you search was thought to be dead, but has been found alive. He was heading towards the mythical city of Maute Nuela with Chris Lee as his guide."

Fue nodded. "Thank you. I owe you one. If you ever need anything, you stop by the viceroy's palace and I'll hook you up," Fue commented. "Do me a favor, Fue. Make sure you take care of yourself. You are one of the few passionate ones left for Secfenia," the barkeeper whispered. Fue stood up and put down a few coins on the bar.

Fue left the pub and walked out the main road. He knew where the city was. He went there once on a vacation with his wife. He remembered it like it was yesterday. So much happiness they shared. They were quite surprised by the friendliness of the people. They had shared a memory that held to him tight sometimes. It struggled with him. Some days it would bring him to tears of joy. Some days it would bring him to tears of sorrow.

Approaching the city, his heart skipped a beat. All around him he saw a bright light. He covered his eyes and stood there. It was then that he noticed that someone was holding on to his hand. Looking over, he smiled seeing his wife. "Thank you for taking me here," Fue said to her. "Anytime, my love," she said with a grin. Fue held her tight and stood there. "Are you okay," she asked him. "Yes, I am just so happy," Fue commented gently running his fingers through her hair.

He stared into her eyes. It had been so long. He remembered this day as if it was yesterday. This was the day that he gave her what was considered one of the hardest roses to acquire in the world. She loved him so much and was so shocked to see it. She had never been given such a special gift, the Zachrin Rose. This day was one of the highlights of their lives.

Fue blinked and her image faded from his view. Being troubled by what had happen, Fue sat down next to the gate and tried to comfort his troubled mind. "I've lost her so long ago. I've seen so much. Why did all this have to happen to me? Why did I deserve this," he asked outloud to the air. No one answered. His heart felt the pain of loneliness. He knew he was alone and nothing shook him harder.

Crying into his hands, he felt a reassuring hand on his shoulders. "My dear, Fue, do not cry over my death. I am always near to you if you let me be. Don't let me ruin your duty. Go forth and find him for us. The answers await you through this gate. I will be in your life forever through memories, but if you don't move, you'll die," she said caressing him. Fue looked up and gently kissed her hand. "I love you," he told her wiping a tear away. "I know and I love you. I am always a part of you," she said fading out of existance.

Fue stood up and opened the gate. Slowly he walked through and looked around. Noticing tracks in the dust, he followed them. They lead to the garden. He had been there once before. He had given a ring to his love there. Slowly he walked up to the enterance of the garden and spied Chris there. "Where is this Alex," Fue asked. He peered around a shrub and noticed who he was looking for.

"Alex, it's a beautiful ring, but where did you find it," Chris asked Alex. "It was on the ground. Maybe I can return it to it's rightful owner," Alex commented. Chris nodded. "I want to rest here," Alex informed Chris laying down in the center of the garden. "As you wish," Chris said with a smile.

Fue stood in shock at what he saw. The ring, the person, it was just more than he ever expected to find out. He knew it all, but had to wait to tell Jonathan. It would definately surprise him too. Fue sneaked out of the city and headed back to the Viceroy's palace to bring some interesting news.
